Neil was born in the UK and attended schools and university in the south of England. A graduate in Business, Neil spent his formative years working for a technology holding company, expanding their operations into Africa and India. He then worked in engineering and medical data industries in the UK and USA before identifying emerging trends in the use of data for decision making. Neil subsequently joined Ordnance Survey (a UK Government Agency) and spent seven years developing his knowledge of data analytics, licensing and services in the world of geo-data and counter-fraud. Joining the board of Liv-ex in 2013, a global trading exchange, Neil led their data strategy, service development and technical integration with customers in 42 countries, transforming Liv-ex’ data function from a cost centre to a profit centre. Neil joined Mastercard in 2019 as VP of Data Strategy in which capacity he is responsible for driving the strategic use of data while navigating known & future data risks.
