In this webinar Dr Cacie McDorman, Engineering Manager at Alleima, Dr Bernd Vogel, Founder of Endosmart / Global Technology and Innovation Manager at Alleima and Jerry Blanton, Sales and Marketing Manager at Alleima, will give a presentation about how Alleima’s medical unit is leading a team of engineers thinking outside the box to develop the automated processes that are needed to manufacture small-scale components repeatedly but also how they make it possible to implement more capabilities out of the same final product dimensions. These products are as small as roughly one-tenth of a milligram in weight and barely visible.

Dr Cacie McDorman
Phd. Engineering Manager, Alleima

Cacie McDorman is the Engineering Manager NAFTA for Alleima. Her background is in physics and materials science and engineering. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Central Florida in 2020, where she focused on the development and characterization of biosensors. Cacie has been with Alleima for 2 years and has focused on enhancing the R&D capabilities at our Palm Coast facility. In her spare time, she enjoys music and spending time with her family.

Dr Bernd Vogel
Global Technology and Innovation Manager, Alleima

Bernd Vogel was a researcher and leader of the Smart Material Development Group (focusing on nitinol) at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology when he began the step-by-step process that led to the founding of Endosmart in 2002 and became leaders in processing nitinol into various product forms. In the end of 2022 Endosmart was acquired by Alleima. With his extensive knowledge and skills, he is now Global Technology and Innovation Manager at Alleima.
