Overview on regulatory requirements for refrigeration technologies:
- F-Gases Regulation incl. latest updates as of March 2024
- PFAS Regulations
- Effects on Refrigeration Technologies for Freeze-Drying and Freeze-Thaw Systems
Overview on sustainable refrigeration technologies:
- Liquid Nitrogen (LN2)
- Natural Refrigerants (CAR6)
- Air (CryoBlizzard)
- Possibilities for retrofitting of existing machineries with sustainable refrigeration technologies
Implementation of sustainable refrigeration technologies for new manufactured equipment
- Implementation and design of natural refrigerants
- Implementation and design of air as refrigerant
The webinar will focus in the first step on the regulatory requirements that apply on the usage of F-gases as refrigerant for pharmaceutical process equipment (e.g. F-Gases regulation and PFAS regulation). With the latest update of the F-Gases regulation in March 2024, the usage of F-Gases for new machineries is limited even more and will be dramatically reduced over the next year.
The webinar focuses on alternative, sustainable refrigeration technologies (e.g. liquid nitrogen (LN2), natural refrigerants (HOF CAR6) and air as refrigerant (HOF CryoBlizzard). Additionally details and case studies will be given for the implementation of sustainable technologies into new developed machineries and for retrofit possibilities at existing machineries.
After the webinar the audience will have a detailed overview on alternative solutions for their future production process which can be considered either for new manufactured equipment or for retrofit possibilities in existing production lines.
Key Objectives:
- Regulatory Requirements (F-Gases Regulation, PFAS Requirements etc.)
- Overview on sustainable refrigeration technologies
- Implementation of sustainable refrigeration technologies for new manufactured equipment
- Retrofitting of existing systems with sustainable refrigeration technologies
