The only comprehensive conference focusing on gathering senior level decision makers from across the spirits industry in diverse commercial functions is set to return for 2018. The theme for the event this year is focused around the two pillars of successful brands; innovation and strategy and how each impact one another from the top down.
Key themes of the event include future trends, premiumisation, the craft movement, the relationship between off-trade and on-trade and the role retailers are playing.
Day 1 will begin with GlobalData giving their perspective on the current global spirits trends to provide context for the remaining two days by highlighting the biggest talking points within the industry. Following on from that we will have a live debate focusing on craft and the weight the consumer holds on spirits being craft versus their sole want for a good product. Remaining sessions on the day will have a strong focus on premiumisation, the relationship between off-trade and on-trade and how companies are creating a diverse portfolio of brands to cater for their customers. The day will round up with an innovation spotlight looking at 3 unique brands in the gin, rum and whisky categories whilst the audience gets to sample them.
Day 2 begins with the ever popular roundtable discussions. Here our expert speaking faculty will raise questions that are pressing the spirits industry such as “How spirits will be affected by the growth of non-alcoholic beverages” and “What can the industry do to encourage responsible drinking further.” The rest of the day will look at brand loyalty in an age of unprecedented choice where consumers are no longer committed to one brand. We will also delve into regulatory issues such as Brexit and what impact we can expect once the UK leaves the European Union next year.
