Antonio Celso de Abreu Jr, Undersecretary of Renewable Energy, Ministry of Mines and Energy from the State of São Paulo
Currently, he is Undersecretary of Renewable Energies of the State of São Paulo, where he develops and coordinates the implementation of public policies to increase the participation of clean energy sources in the São Paulo energy matrix and to strengthen its production chain. Acting for more than 30 years in the area of engineering and energy, he has acquired vast experience in the planning, construction and supervision of large projects. He participated actively in the discussion of topics of relevance to the Brazilian Energy Sector, together with the regulatory agencies, the operator of the national interconnected system, the chamber of commerce, sectoral associations and research and development institutions, besides ministering several lectures in Brazil and abroad renewable energies and related topics. He also worked in judicial investigations in civil construction and in mediation and arbitration chambers. Civil Engineer, graduated in 1983 by UNESP, holds a Specialization in Socio-Environmental Management Applied to Hydropower by FIA / USP and a Master’s Degree in Sciences from the Polytechnic School of São Paulo (USP). He is an alternate member of the State Environmental Council (Consema).
