Following on from its 5th edition Clinical Trial Supply Nordics will be returning to Copenhagen next October, 2019!
The 5th edition of CTS Nordics was one of the best to date. The two day conference was filled with interactive discussion sessions and thought provoking presentations which once more gave the local community the opportunity to catch-up on the latest knowledge and network with solution providers.
With support from the a host of innovative trial sponsors across the region and customer focused solution providers this event proved itself once again to be a must attend for the local community. Delegates enjoyed a dynamic programme of case-study presentations, interactive panel discussions and networking breaks which enabled the audience to discover practical takeaways and knowledge sharing.
A huge thank you to all the industry leading speakers and vendors who provided insightful perspectives and key thought leadership over the two day conference. We look forward to seeing you all next year back in San Diego for another great couple of days where you can learn, discuss and meet supply focused leaders across the Nordic region.

Anne Bekker-Jensen

Biography: Anne holds a degree as Master of Science in Pharmacy (2011) and has been working for Lundbeck A/S ever since. She has been working with clinical trials for 8 years, both as a Study Responsible within packaging and currently as head of Clinical Supply Packaging. She’s responsible for the packaging processes and the final product in Lundbeck. Her primary expertise is within GMP processes in Clinical Trial Packaging both manually and on automatic packaging lines. She have had a key position in the implementation of an automatic blisterline for Clinical packaging. She’s also very experienced in implementing and driving LEAN processes in production.

Biography: Anne Schmidt is healthcare specialist in GS1 Denmark. She has a background as a nurse, and a master in health science. Since 2015 she has worked for GS1 Denmark, where the main focus is helping the members implementing GS1 standards to increase patient safety and ensure efficiency.

Claus Bo Svendsen
CEO,Forward Pharma
Biography: Dr. Svendsen has served as Chief Executive Officer of Forward Pharma since March 2017. Within Forward Pharma, his previous role as Executive Vice President included responsibility for corporate functions, portfolio strategy, regulatory interactions and medical and scientific input across all phases of clinical trials. Prior to joining Forward Pharma in 2015, he held positions of increasing seniority in the Danish pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk A/S, including roles of Global Medical Director for Victoza® (liraglutide) and for Saxenda® in its regulatory and pre-launch phase for weight management, supporting a successful FDA advisory committee meeting and finally FDA and EMA approval. From 2007 to 2009, he worked as a Medical Analyst in Nordic Biotech Advisors ApS, dealing with due diligence of potential investment opportunities. He is a Medical Doctor from University of Copenhagen in 2003, and additionally completed a PhD in sarcoidosis pathobiology in 2009. He has worked in several countries with a clinical background mainly in internal medicine, and is a recipient of a Young Investigator Award from the Foundation for Sarcoidosis Research in 2009. Dr. Svendsen is an author of 27 publications in international, peer-reviewed journals and >50 abstracts presented at international congresses on pathobiology of sarcoidosis, methods in molecular biology, and medical treatment of diabetes and obesity.

Helén Johansen Blanco

Biography: Helén Johansen Blanco has 20+ years of clinical development experience, managing Phase I to III clinical trials leading to the successful launch of several oncology products. She has experience in project management of large global clinical trials conducted in all continents of the world, mainly within oncology, but also therapeutic areas as cardiovascular and gastrointestinal. Mrs. Blanco has previously worked for large international pharma companies such as Astra Zeneca and Mylan, as well as small, medium to large sized biotechnology companies as Nordic Nanovector and Celgene, in addition to smaller and larger CROs such as Smerud and Covance. Currently she holds a position as Head of Clinical Operations at Oncoinvent, a small medium sized biotech company located in Norway. She holds a MSc in Biophysics and medical technology from Norwegian Technology and Science University and is currently writing her thesis for a Master in Business Administration.
