Curving corners with Trimo’s Qbiss One
Trimo, the leading manufacturer of building envelope solutions presents Qbiss One; a cost-effective, complete modular wall system insulated with mineral wool. With multiple joint options and surface treatments to choose from, it presents the ultimate combination of aesthetics, design and function.

Qbiss One is distinguished by the element’s unique rounded corner. It provides a great freedom of expression to architects – not only is a superior aesthetic achieved, but any potential threat of corrosion is prevented. Unlike traditional rain screen panels, there is no need to cut, fold or weld corners; this not only results in a stunning appearance, but also considerably minimises construction time.

Qbiss One is one of the smoothest façade envelopes in its class and offers limitless design possibilities; including the ability to create artistic designs on the façade surface. ArtMe, Trimo’s unique façade surface treatment, allows unlimited shapes, patterns and visual effects to be applied to the façade for creative and eye-catching results. Any designs from inscriptions, logos, branding and bespoke creations are made possible, without any need for adhesives, additional elements or structural devices.

Flexibility is another key characteristic of Trimo’s façade solution. Multiple joint options are available to choose from which allow a combination of various recessed and flush joints, and each element is self-supporting. A façade can reach a span of up to 6.5 metres without intermediate support, providing a sleek aesthetic and reducing material costs and build time. Elements of Qbiss One are custom-made based on design requirements; there is no need for on-site cutting or any other post-production modification.
Developed with sustainability in mind, Qbiss One is energy efficient and environmentally friendly; all manufacturing processes are designed to minimise emissions and energy usage. The system is insulated with mineral wool, is 98% recyclable and has a low CO2 footprint of just 44 kg/m2 throughout the lifetime of a building.

“The Qbiss One solution was developed in response to architectural demands,” said Viviane Williams, UK and Overseas Marketing Manager at Trimo. “The product’s durability, exceptional smoothness and rounded corners are just some of the benefits that make Qbiss One the ideal solution for those looking beyond the constraints of traditional rain screen panels.”
