Lori Barski
Imaging Scientist, Carestream

Lori an imaging scientist in the Data Science Research, Innovation & Platforms division with the responsibility of developing and sustaining advancements in image science and image processing. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s of Science in Statistics from Rochester Institute of Technology.  Over her 40 years of employment (Kodak/Carestream) she holds 19 patents and received the prestigious Eastman Innovation Award (2004). Her recent efforts have focused on software-based scatter suppression (SmartGrid) and deep learning based de-noising (Smart Noise Cancellation).

Luca Bogoni
Head of Advanced Research and Innovation, Carestream

Luca Bogoni, Ph.D., is the Head of Advanced Research and Innovation at Carestream. Visionary and disruptive innovations focused on delivery of impactful clinical solutions are the spark that Dr. Bogoni has infused across Carestream. He has prioritized strengthening bedside DR initiatives and dynamic DR while championing the transformative power of a Carestream ecosystem. His pragmatic approach to innovation informs his prioritization of solutions based on the impact they will have on patient outcomes, clinical utility and business success. Through empowering leadership, he has ignited cross-functional engagement, expanding Carestream’s portfolio of solutions.  His distinguished 30-year career began at Siemens Automation, later joined Sarnoff Corporation Vision Technologies where, over a period of six years, he led many multi-year DARPA projects. Over the following two decades at Siemens Healthineers, Dr. Bogoni led research, product definition and portfolio management, IP management, worldwide clinical collaborations, implemented clinical studies, and successfully led regulatory strategies and initiatives for several SaMD 510k approvals. He holds over 32 granted patents and has co-authored over 75 peer reviewed publications, book chapters and conference presentations.

Steven Romocki
Product Line Manager, Carestream

Steve has over 20 years of experience in medical imaging, as well previous experience in Non-imaging medical devices and non–medical imaging systems.  He has held positions in product management, business development, business and market research, and Software Development.  He currently is a Worldwide Product Line Manager for Carestream's Digital Radiography Business.  Steve holds a MBA from the University Of Rochester Simon School and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Cornell University, College of Engineering.
