Sonja van Renssen is editor-in-chief of Energy Monitor, GlobalData's flagship energy title. We're a fully digital, data-led publication dedicated to the global energy transition. Sonja also oversees GD's other energy-related sites, Power Technology, Mining Technology and Offshore Technology. She's a climate and energy journalist based in Brussels with >15 years experience in the sector.

Martin is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer and graduated from the University of Strathclyde in 2007. He began his career in the Oil & Gas industry where we worked across positions in Operations and the technology supply chain before joining Wood in 2012 as a Senior Mechanical Engineer. As his career progressed, he transitioned into a variety of project management roles, firstly within Oil & Gas then Industrial Services and Clean Energy.

In his current role Martin is the director of Wood’s Clean Energy Solutions group which is responsible for the delivery of front-end studies in support of the energy transition, including clean hydrogen, BESS/Hybrid, and the full range of traditional renewable energy technologies.

Simon is the Hydrogen Lead for Mott MacDonald in Northern Ireland, Ireland and Scotland (NIS) and has taken a leading role in delivery of strategic planning projects for hydrogen in Scotland including the Moray Hydrogen Strategy. He is a Chartered Civil Engineer with over twenty years’ experience in multiple sectors including Energy, Transport, Water and the Built Environment across the full project life-cycle. Simon has worked in roles as Client, Contractor and Consultant in the UK and Australia.

Having worked in air and gas handling for nearly 20 years, covering a wide range of industries and applications, David is now the responsible for sales in Europe for the Chart Industries cryogenic equipment and legacy Howden rotating equipment into the Hydrogen market.
The Chart product technology includes Hydrogen Liquification plants, liquid H2 storage tanks, and gaseous Hydrogen compression vie Reciprocating, Diaphragm and screw compression technologies.
Howden provides these solutions to clients for their requirements in all areas of the Hydrogen value chain from production, transportation, storage and end use.

Storegga (formerly Pale Blue Dot Energy) is an independent developer of low-carbon solutions including industrial carbon capture, storage, and hydrogen. Storegga has evolved from a consultancy with a flagship R&D project, into a mature international developer attracting global interest for its expertise.

During the last 9 years with Storegga, Tim has developed, led and project managed aspects of the Acorn CCS Project, Acorn Hydrogen Project, Cromarty Hydrogen, Speyside Hydrogen and Hylander Projects. He is a Mechanical Engineer with 30 years of expertise in energy management, energy transition and supply chain leadership with a key focus on brewing and distillation via a range of senior manager roles with Diageo across 15 years and 4 continents prior to joining Storegga in 2014.

Tim thrives alongside inspirational leaders, making rapid decisions in a commercial environment full of fresh challenges, creating value through pursuing the elimination of waste and achieving carbon reduction through efficiency, process innovation and alternative sources of energy. He is a proven business leader in supply operations across the UK, West Africa, Thailand and Australia with a keen eye for strategic and commercial wins.

Ben is the Business Development Manager at Langfields and has been with the company for over four years. Langfields specialise in the design, manufacturing and fabrication of process plant equipment for the hydrogen, renewable, CCUS, chemical and nuclear industries. They have multiple facilities spread throughout the UK including Salford, Dunfermline, Deephaven, Tamworth, Thurso, Halkirk, Warrington and Worksop. The company are one of the UK's leading fabricators and help clients with the design, fabrication and manufacture of products such as welded parts for electrolysers, water separator vessels, desalination vessels, reverse osmosis, filtration, hydrogen storage & Process and high pressure process vessels.

Murray is the Hydrogen/CCUS lead for the energy trade team at Scottish Development International (SDI), Scotland’s trade & investment agency. He is involved in supporting companies from Scotland’s world class supply chain to discover and access opportunities for collaboration and commercial partnership across the energy sector, with a particular focus on those involved in delivering the energy transition. With a working background in civil engineering and construction, he has held multiple roles in the private and public sectors across the Middle East and the UK including consultancy, construction and project management. He has been with SDI for 12 years and has supported companies on trade & investment activity across North America, West Africa, Asia Pacific and the Middle East.
