Karen Rodriguez has over 23 years of experience in the power generation industry in the areas of marketing, business development, business excellence, and strategic communications, with a strong focus on decarbonization solutions. She has held various roles at Siemens Energy including Marketing Communications Specialist, Marketing Strategy Specialist and Business Development Specialist, where she developed market strategies and collaborated with cross-functional teams to identify growth opportunities. She is also a certified Mindfulness Facilitator, dedicated to enhancing workplace wellness.

Karen holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL.

Vivek Mahadevan
Integrated Solution Manager

Vivek Mahadevan joined Siemens Energy in 2008 and has a background in product engineering, specialising in the mechanical design and structural integrity of steam turbine and gas turbine components (rotors and casings).

For the last few years, his role as an engineering technical lead has focussed on developing solutions globally to enable stability of the electrical grid, by converting existing gas and steam turbo-generator power plants.

He has worked on the overall integrated plant solution from initial development to final implementation, including the rotating mechanical shaft line, balance of plant, auxiliary systems, civil interfaces, electrical integration, and interface with the grid.

Dr. Norbert Henkel
Head of sales for European, Asian, and Middle Eastern power plant modernizations.

Dr. Norbert Henkel joined Siemens Energy in 1997 with a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering. He has held various management positions in engineering, business development, strategy, marketing, and sales. Norbert has an extensive background in different energy technologies, including classical power generation, distribution, and energy storage solutions.

Currently, he is the head of sales for European, Asian, and Middle Eastern power plant modernizations. His responsibilities include efficiency upgrades and modernizations for turbines and generators as well as Rotating Grid Stabilizer conversions (RGS).
