Highlights for the 2017 programme- Why should you attend?

Philip Ross (Director, Bristol-Myers Squibb) will be delivering an exciting session on clinical visualisation and the creation of a Data Lake. Is this another step in the evolution of clinical development? Philip is due to address the challenges arising from the need to access and integrate data during clinical studies. He will demonstrate the use of data to support clinical decisions and give examples of the impact of a Data Lake in support of Clinical Program decision making.

Day 1 will include an interactive panel discussion exploring the right balance between increasing the speed of data delivery whilst continuing to produce high quality data. Attendees will be encouraged to join the discussion with our 3 industry experts on the panel; Gina Eagle (VP at Insmed), Susan Walters (Clinical Data Manager at Sanofi) and Robert Boland (Associate Director at Johnson & Johnson). This is bound to be an interesting topic for all attendees to get involved with and ask our panellists probing questions.

Kenneth Prada (Senior R&D Engineer) and Roberts Boland (Senior Manager) from Johnson and Johnson will identify the advantages of wearable technologies and why this is such a hot topic. They will explore the various technologies currently available and how they can be incorporated into your clinical trials. The challenges with moving over to wearables will also be addressed and how we can ensure patient and data safety is maintained.

Laszlo Vasko (senior director at AstraZeneca) will be looking into clinical trial design decisions. Current systems and clinical data standards are designed to capture the outcome of clinical trial design activities, but not the rationale, scenarios will be considered, and decision making history.  There’s opportunity to structure and retain decisions, rationales, supporting information in order to ensure project memory is retained.  A cross industry information model can further facilitate communication and collaboration between sponsors as well as with agencies.
