Highlights of 2018

This year’s event was highly topical with many panels covering the future of online gaming in a way which gave the audience actionable takeaways which could be brought back to the office.

  1. Has blockchain’s time come? Is blockchain a buzzword or an actionable tool for disrupting operations? – Milyes Milston, Britt Boeskov, Iarfhlaith Kelly and Jez San were part of a heated debate which sought to evaluate the hype around blockchain, discuss whether blockchain provides an opportunity to improve transparency between players and online operators as a way of increasing trust and determining where regulatory limitations of this technology lay and how it’s lack of traceability could affect AML regulatory obligations.
  2. On boarding the next generation; how to get millennials as customers – Karolina Pelc, Chris Harrison and Angela Martin spent 30 minutes answering questions from the audience. Some of the topics they covered focused on showcasing how personalization as a driving force to on board more millennial customers and ensure loyalty to your brand, examining millennial game preferences: are they really different and what this stems from and Online casino players who’ve never been to a casino: how to make their first experience engaging?
  • LeoVegas Live: How we built an award winning Live Casino Experience – Karolina Pelc, Casino Director, LeoVegas presented a fascinating case-study which considered whether live casino is the next big thing in gaming, determined the differentiation needed in a crowded market space: Multi-supplier Content Strategy and showcased that Live Casino isn’t a stagnant product given its array of product differentiation opportunities.
