How will the lastest version of the LCP BREF will impact your power plant?
The LCP BREF in the context of the IED has been waited for years, postponing the investments, nurturing fears in all the actors of the industry.
This year, the European Commission will present the latest version of the LCP in front of the audience, delivering a long vision on emission reductions in Europe, and allowing our delegates to plan ahead the politics to adopt. The new regulations like Mercury for example will be developed as well, and the new BAT ELs will be presented to meet these new targets.
In a context of always stricter regulations, the Power Plants will have to comply by the IED in four years. If they can’t justify their non-compliance by the BAT AELs they will face to face a shutdown. To prevent from the worst, they will be presented the approaches to justify derogation, and the best practices to succeed this process, avoiding the shutdown. To justify derogation, the power plant will have to demonstrate that the economic efforts are too demanding in comparison with the environmental benefits.
Our speakers will present all these aspects to provide our attendees with the most relevant information and leave our conference with an action plan.
