We’re delighted to announce our 2021 dates for your diary. The annual conference will return to London to explore core themes impacting the UK private banking and wealth management sector, including client relationship management in the post-Covid world and technical innovations to enable companies to win greater market share.
The event will showcase how private banks and wealth management companies can remain competitive, become future-proof and capitalise on affluent markets to ultimately enhance profitability margins.
Once the conference is complete, the evening will celebrate the most impressive and successful initiatives from the sector over the past 12 months. Awards will be given for wide-ranging achievements and will highlight leaders in the industry and efforts to progress private banking.
The event is an opportunity to share ideas, discover trends and network with peers across the wealth industry. Continuing under the well-known Private Banker International brand. The event will bring thought leadership, innovative growth ideas and an action plan on how to materialise these strategies.

Grant Parkinson

Biography: Grant Parkinson is the Head of Consumer, Private and Business Banking for Europe. He joined Standard Chartered in 2020 as Head of Private Banking for Europe, Middle East and Africa, and shortly moved into his current role. Based in London, Grant is responsible for the region’s Priority and Private Banking business operations in Jersey, the United Arab Emirates and UK that serve emerging markets clients across Africa, the Middle East, UK and Turkey. Grant has over 25 years of financial services experience. He joined Standard Chartered from Brewin Dolphin where he was Chief Operating Officer and led development of technology solutions for client-facing colleagues and digital. Prior to that he worked at Coutts, also as Chief Operating Officer, where he successfully ran multiple business development, change and remediation programmes. Earlier in his career, Grant worked at Barclays Wealth and McKinsey & Company.

Senior investment banking professional, with a background as a legal practitioner, amassing over 16 years’ experience working with international companies in middle market M&A transactions and having extensive cross border activities between Europe and Latin America.
Prior to joining Wimmer Family Office in London UK (2017), in charge of Private Capital Advisory, Antonio was a senior investment team member of a Private Equity Fund (Fir Capital Partners) and an IB boutique firm (G5Evercore&Sao Paulo Investments SA) based in Brazil for 9 years and began his career at and International Law Firm in Italy&Brazil. Antonio has extensive experience in Renewables, Infrastructure, Mining&Commodities, Real Estate and Consumer Goods across Europe, LatAm and Africa.
Antonio holds a MBA from MIP Business School by Polytechnic of Milan, Italy 2012, along with an executive master’s certificate from SDA Bocconi School of Management from Milan, Italy 2016 and a Bachelor degree in International Law from University of Milan, Italy 2003.
Antonio is, from 2019, a Non-Executive Director at Academy Ambassador the School’ Network by Department of UK Education in London, UK and from 2018 at Eurus Financial Education in Zurich, Switzerland.”

Nicholas Davis

Biography: Nicholas joined Lombard Odier in 2019 and has nearly 25-years experience in the financial markets and wealth management advising institutional clients as well as high net worth individuals, professional investors and charities. He has extensive experience across traditional and non-traditional asset classes, as well as capital markets, hedging and lending strategies. Prior to joining Lombard Odier, Nicholas spent 11-years at UBS Wealth Management advising UK resident/domiciled and UK resident/non-domiciled clients across all asset classes, as well as serving as the sales management coordinator between the Relationship Management teams and the Investment Products and Services division. Prior career experience includes 7-years in the Global Capital Markets Division at Deutsche Bank in London and Hong Kong advising corporates, supra-national and sovereign borrowers on bond origination in the international debt capital markets and associated interest rate and fx hedging strategies. Nicholas started his career at NatWest Markets (later Greenwich NatWest), originally in the Debt Structuring Group and later in the US Private Placement team where he placed private debt for UK and European corporates with US and UK insurance companies and pension funds. He gained the certificate in Private Client Investment Advice (PCIAM) and has a degree in Politics and Modern History from the University of Manchester.

Adam McConkey

Biography:
Adam McConkey: Adam joined the Lombard Odier’s Volantis team at Gartmore in 2002 to specialize in smaller companies.
Adam has been head of the team since 2010 at Gartmore, Henderson and, since April 2017, at Lombard Odier Investment Managers.
Adam is the co-lead Portfolio Manager of the 1798 Volantis Fund which was set up in 2002 and co-leads on the 1798 UK Small Cap Best Ideas Fund which he and Rob Giles launched in 2006.
Prior to a career in UK smaller companies he worked on European equity desks at both Gartmore and the Co-Op bank.
Adam has a PhD in International Relations, sits on the board of the AIM Advisory Group and is Chair of the Quoted Companies Alliance.

Ronald Janssen

Biography: Ronald joined Ortec Finance in 2002 to further realize his vision on goal-based planning. This resulted in Ortec Finance’s Goal based Planning product, OPAL. As managing director, Ronald is responsible for this solution and the further development of goal-based planning for the international wealth market. Ronald Janssen studied Econometrics at Erasmus University in Rotterdam. After graduation, he worked as a financial planner for private clients in the high net worth segment. During this period, he designed and developed goal-based planning software. Besides his work at Ortec Finance Mr. Janssen lectures at the Erasmus University. In addition, he has written several articles for professional journals such as The Journal of Wealth Management and Fonds.nl.

Alessandro Tonchia

Biography: Alessandro is the Head of Strategy at InvestCloud Private Banking & Wealth, focusing on building and maintaining long-term relationships with major clients. He is passionate about developing client offerings that improve sales, advice and client relations via digital technology and artificial intelligence. He has a keen interest in sustainability and the impact financial institutions can have in this area. Alessandro has been instrumental in the development of InvestCloud's ESG offering. Alessandro is co-founder of Finantix, a firm that InvestCloud acquired earlier in 2021 as part of a merger to create the next-generation SaaS wealth solutions platform. Prior to establishing Finantix, he was a consultant specialising in the areas of process management, collaboration and CRM. Alessandro holds a degree in Physics from the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich. In addition, he also studied Philosophy and Linguistics at the University of California in Los Angeles.
