Jeff Benoit is the Vice President of Clean Energy Solutions for US-based Power Systems Mfg., LLC, known widely in the industry as PSM. PSM’s European-based sister company is Thomassen Energy, located in Rheden, the Netherlands. Jeff is responsible for identifying and delivering new business opportunities leveraging PSM’s and Thomassen’s proven and commercially operating “HyFlex™” high-hydrogen combustion system platforms, designed to be retrofitted into the installed fleet of OEM gas turbines.

Within the past two decades, PSM and Thomassen, both now part of the Hanwha Group, have evolved into the leading aftermarket service providers of OEM gas turbines used by power generation operators worldwide. They differentiate in the marketplace by successfully offering their own innovative, technology-enabled product and digital solutions, from performance upgrade packages to combustion system retrofits designed for enhanced operational and fuel flexibility. This portfolio can be obtained on a transactional basis, or a part of a flexible long term service agreement.

Jeff started his career with General Electric’s Aviation business in Lynn, MA arriving from Clarkson University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Through GE’s Edison “ABC Course” Engineering Program and Engineering Development Program (EDP), he obtained his Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. During his career at GE, Jeff assumed increasing levels of technology leadership and responsibility within GE’s power generation portfolio, but with a prime focus on advanced, low-emission gas turbine combustion system development programs.

Jeff joined PSM to lead their growing Combustion R&D Engineering team in 2001. During this time, he has held leadership roles in Product Management, Product Marketing, Strategy and Business Development prior to his current role.

Jeff is a member of ASME’s International Gas Turbine Institute’s (IGTI) Electric Power Committee and has been a member of ASME since 1989.
