Song Zhaoqing received his architectural training at Tsinghua University. After graduation, he started his career in Nikken Sekkei where he led the design of Shanghai Xintiandi. In 2001, he founded Lacime Architects, a practice cherishs the belief “simplify complicated materials and back to the origin.”Apart from his key role in business, Song Zhaoqing served as a professor at Xi`an University of Architecture and Technology. In 2019, he was invited by Persective, Asia’s leading architecture and design magazine, to be a judge of the A&D Trophy Awards 2019 in Architecture Category.

Song Zhaoqing’s portfolio comprises highly pragmatic public infrastructure to well-crafted buildings and spaces recognized by numerous world’s leading architectural design awards. His key Projects include Shanghai Xintiandi, Qin Ⅱ Dynasty Relics Museum, Shanghai Zhongxing Meihua Village, Shanghai Cifi Headquarter and Suzhou Vanke Da Jia, etc.
