Sarah Kemmitt
Sarah Kemmitt, Secretariat Lead, Net-Zero Banking Alliance

Sarah Kemmitt works with the UN Environment Programme Finance Initiative where she helped to establish and leads the Secretariat for the Net Zero Banking Alliance. With an earlier career in ecological conservation, agroforestry and soil science, after the financial crisis Sarah took the opportunity move into financial services regulation, including roles within the Prudential Regulation Authority and the Bank of England. In recent years she brought her environmental expertise to bear on her supervisory work at the Bank, contributing to the UK regulation and supervision of the risks from climate change on the banking and insurance sectors.

Global CEO of Commercial Finance, Siemens Financial Services

Matthias Grossmann is the CEO for the Commercial Finance business of Siemens Financial Services. Matthias has almost 30 years’ experience with the Siemens Group. He has worked in the US and Germany; and was until 2019 based in Sweden where he was CFO for the Siemens Nordic region. He was also Head of Corporate Pensions, the unit responsible for group-wide and Siemens AG pension management. Matthias has extensive experience and knowledge of both the finance and industry markets. He also has a keen interest in sustainability, and is leading the SFS Commercial Finance drive to enable businesses across the global to invest in more sustainable equipment and technology. Matthias holds a degree in Business Administration from the Technical University Berlin, Germany.

Lead, Sustainability Integrated Solutions (LifeTech), DLL

Lindsey holds an MBA in Finance, Entrepreneurship, and Sustainability from NYU and is a strong advocate for sustainability on and off the job. For instance, she has not bought new clothing for nearly five years and has contributed to a documentary on Hulu, encouraging a more ethical fashion industry.

Since 2018, she’s held multiple leadership roles at various Fortune 500 organizations committed to making a positive change on the environment and its inhabitants. That included a role as Director of Global Marketing and E-Commerce at Loop, which has been recognized by Fast Company and Fortune Magazine as one of the most innovative companies for its work helping organizations such as Ulta Beauty, Unilever and Burger King divert waste from landfills by reusing packaging materials. She also currently serves as an adjunct professor at Rutgers Business School, lending her voice to very important societal issues around sustainability.

At DLL, Lindsey leads the relationship with prominent partners and customers within the company’s LifeTech division, acting as a trusted advisor and supporting them with their journey towards a more sustainable future.

  • Best ‘ESG/Sustainability’ Initiative of the Year: Social Aspects

    To qualify for this award, nominees must demonstrate effective asset optimisation through initiatives like a ‘True’ As-A-Service solution with integrated usage risk and shared economy models that finance equipment for multi-users.

  • Best New Services Solutions: Data and Asset Management

    Recognising innovation, this award requires nominees to have funded and implemented data management solutions optimising asset use or capturing energy consumption. Initiatives may include IoT solutions for predictive maintenance and smart metering for energy consumption monitoring.

  • Best Energy Transition Financing Programmes

    This award acknowledges lessors’ contributions to financing new assets and solutions in the energy transition. Judges seek initiatives related to renewables, energy storage, and infrastructure, supported by case studies and statistics.

  • Best E-mobility Financing Programmes

    Focused on lessors’ contributions to e-mobility solutions, this award requires initiatives related to refinancing e-mobility assets like e-cars, e-bikes, and e-scooters, supported by case studies and statistics.

  • Best Impact Finance Solution

    This accolade recognises lessors’ financing solutions contributing to customers’ transition to a carbon-neutral status. Initiatives may include financing offers aligned with lessees’ carbon impact performance or financing carbon capture technologies, substantiated by case studies.

  • Best Energy Transition Strategy: Business Model & Service Innovation

    Acknowledging lessors’ financing solutions, this award emphasises a dedicated Energy Transition/Green Technology roadmap, market segmentation strategies, and new/alternative financial solutions. Case studies are crucial for evaluating the effectiveness of these initiatives.

  • The Best Sustainable Finance Company of the Year

    This prestigious award acknowledges a company — whether it be a lessor, bank, vendor, or investor — that has showcased tangible initiatives across the spectrum of sustainable finance activities.
