What happened at the 2017 Summit?

The 2017 Summit hosted a very high calibre Speaker Faculty to deliver presentations on the most pressing industry themes. The Summit prioritised 3 key themes and dissected the challenges, opportunities and practical considerations for achieving the various objectives. Underlying these core themes will were insights into the barriers to evolution in these areas including issues such as regulatory compliance, employee adoption and change management and tax and margin pressures.

The core themes explored in the 2017 Summit include:

  1. Exploring the route to proposition and product differentiation – how to gain leadership above competition from traditional and disruptive players
  2. Practical navigation of the inevitable integration of digital channels with existing distribution and customer communication models
  3. Achieving profitable customer engagement which increases wallet share from current clients and secures business from future clients during the transfer of wealth
  4. The above topics support global private banks and wealth management companies in remaining competitive, becoming future-proof and capitalising on affluent markets to ultimately enhance profitability margins.

Delegates who attended the day time Summit benefited from the Case Study based presentations, interactive discussions and debates about these key themes from the most senior and experienced institutions in the sector.

Once the Summit was completed the evening looked to celebrate the most impressive and successful initiatives from Private Banks and Wealth Management Companies over the past 12 months. Awards were given for wide-ranging achievements and looked to highlight leaders in the industry and efforts to progress Private Banking.

The Awards were given during the Gala Dinner following a welcome Drinks Reception at the impressive Fullerton Hotel in Singapore. The Awards welcomed institutions from all over the world and was hosted by Senior Editors from Private Banker International.
