What’s new on the 2017 agenda?
Mikael Karlsson, an electrical I&C engineer, is representing OKG AB and will be examining electrical cable AMPs for LTO to ensure safety and reduce risk. Mikael will identify different cable testing procedures to demonstrate the condition of cables ensuring safety regulations are met. He will also demonstrate how your electric cable systems are not only functional within normal conditions but are also able to withstand accident conditions to ensure safety regulations are met.
The 2017 agenda will include a case study on the Dukovany NPP, presented by Hana Dlouha from the State Office for Nuclear Safety. Hana will assess the licencing process of Dukovany NPP beyond designed lifetime and address the issues of the LTO process. Hana is the Leader of Mechanical Component Assessment Group and will give us an exciting insight into the Dukovany NPP.
The programme for Day 2 will end with 3 interactive roundtables which offer a unique opportunity to discuss and share challenges with other industry experts. Phil Tipping (Nuclear Energy and Materials Consultant), Aleš Buršič (GEN energija) and Jiri Zdarek (UJV Rez) will be leading the roundtable discussions. The topics include Nuclear power as an environmentally friendly source of cheap, reliable energy and also addressing reverse engineering, looking at regulatory challenges and acceptance issues.
The roundtables in previous years have always had excellent feedback and we are confident the 2017 programme will be even more interesting and inspiring.
